With the advent of science and technology, technologies such as lab-grown meat and 3D-printed food have emerged to make newly synthesised food both delicious and nutritious.
In theory, everything from plants or animals can be produced from cells. New food technologies allow for high levels of food customisation, paving the way for personalised nutrition in industries such as hospitals, aged care and hospice care. By 2050, the next generation, Generation Z, will be consumers of technological food. Against the backdrop of the fast-paced development of modern society, people at different stages of life are faced with a variety of stresses that lead to more suboptimal health conditions. Adjusting this condition requires constant exercise or adjustment. However, due to the rapid development of moder society, adjusting the body's sub-health condition by diet is the best option, so it is hoped that food technology can be applied to the treatment of sub-health.
