You don't need to be ran from you just need to be loved carefully

This project responds to the long-standing misunderstanding and stigma surrounding Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Public discourse often reduces BPD to “emotional instability” or being “hard to deal with,” overlooking the trauma and complex contexts behind it. In clinical and media narratives, women are diagnosed with BPD more frequently than men with similar presentations (who may receive labels like PTSD), pointing to gendered interpretations and structural bias. To address this, I combine XR with interactive narrative design to create a first-person, reflective, low-risk immersive experience. The aim is to balance emotional engagement with rational understanding, fostering sustainable empathy rather than brief shock. The project seeks to reduce stereotypes, spark public dialogue and self-reflection, and measure its impact through pre/post surveys and a public comment wall.
